The TDP lamp (also called Moxal lamp, or China lamp) is a therapy device proven in practice, which was invented in 1980 in China by a group of scientists and doctors at the silicate research institute Chongqing. TDP is an abbreviation for "Teding Diancibo Pu".

Properties:

• The TDP lamp's heating plate is coated with natural minerals ( Ø 16. 5 cm) and is heated on the backside
• Wavelength range of infrared radiation: 2 to 25 micrometers
• Wide range of applications
• Often used in conjunction with acupuncture or as an alternative to moxa therapy. Either direct irradiation without needle penetration is performed or acupuncture needles are first pierced and then irradiated with the TDP lamp (replacement for the hot needle technique)
• The patients feel an extremely pleasant and soothing warmth.

Functionality:

The infrared spectrum of 2 to 25 micrometers is particularly well absorbed by the human body. A ceramic plate covered with over 30 minerals generates exactly this bandwidth of electromagnetic waves at approx. 280 degrees Celsius.

The mineral plate (Art. No. : Z-28GE) should be replaced after 1,000 operating hours.
